Driving out to Kilchoman having just arrived on the evening boat on a cloudy and moody June evening. Loch Gorm in the distance. A slightly brighter spot on the horizon suggested better weather, although it turned out to be a false hope.

Loch Gorm towards the right. The brightly lit area on the right is a car driving down the B8018 towards Sanaigmore, another one in the distance near Ballinaby.
At first glance you might wonder why I took a picture of a road sign on Islay. But if you look closely you will notice a type of road you don’t normally find on a road sign, a C-road. The C15 runs from Rockmountain to Kilchoman.
