Aerial picture of a beach, dunes and coastline from the airA closer look at Saligo Bay on the west coast of Islay with the beach and the dunes from the air, compared to the wider view of Saligo Bay and around from the air. Smaull and the hills behind it visible in the distance. And you can spot me on the beach as well.

West coast evening sun, Isle of Islay

Image

Picture of a coastal landscape in the low evening sunA view south west from the cliffs between Sanaigmore and Saligo on the west coast of Islay, the low evening Sun providing some beautiful light. The view is quite far ranging: On the left the Kilchoman Crags and the crags above Machir Bay with the old radar station. Then the southern end of the Rhinns stretching out behind them. Across the sea in the far distance you can make out various parts of Ireland’s coast. Closer to us the ‘Opera House Rocks’ just right of centre.
