Image

Panoramic picture of a view from cliffs over an islandA panoramic view from the top of the cliffs at Sanaigmore, looking back over Islay. On the right the steep cliffs stretching south west. On the left the more gentle coastline towards the north east. Sanaigmore Bay cutting deep into the view, exaggerated by the panoramic distortion. The Paps of Jura can be just made out in the distance on the left.

West coast evening sun, Isle of Islay

Picture of a coastal landscape in the low evening sunA view south west from the cliffs between Sanaigmore and Saligo on the west coast of Islay, the low evening Sun providing some beautiful light. The view is quite far ranging: On the left the Kilchoman Crags and the crags above Machir Bay with the old radar station. Then the southern end of the Rhinns stretching out behind them. Across the sea in the far distance you can make out various parts of Ireland’s coast. Closer to us the ‘Opera House Rocks’ just right of centre.
