A view back from an Islay ferry having just left Port Askaig en route to Kennacraig on the mainland in late June 2025. You can make out Port Askaig on the left as well as the famous Paps of Jura on the right. Sgarbh Breac on Islay also in the distance towards the left, but Rhuvaal lighthouse is too far to make out.

The counterpart to the Bunnahabhain view from the veranda panorama from a visit in April, this is the same view on a mostly grey, dull and dreich November 2023 afternoon. The Paps of Jura and the rest of Jura have disappeared. Sgarbh Breac only just recognisable on the left. No chance of spotting Colonsay, let alone Mull.
