A memory from my late mother’s first visit to Islay bck in 2003. One of the many places I took her to were the Singing Sands near Port Ellen. Unfortunately it was a rather cloudy and later rainy day, I remember we only just made it back to the car before the heavens opened for deluge of rain.

A popular yet still lesser known beaches on Islay, the Singing Sands near Port Ellen. Here some walkers are crossing it during WalkIslay 2013, having arrived from Inveraval.
