
Spotted from the much bigger Islay ferry, the small Jura ferry MV Eilean Dhiura crossing the Sound of Islay. If you look closely you also just spot Rhuvaal lighthouse in the distance. Not to mention Colonsay and Oronsay on the horizon.

A view from an Islay ferry over a temporary Jura ferry. The MV James was covering the Port Askaig – Feolin route in spring 2023 when the regular ferry was away for maintenance.

Not sure from where exactly I took this picture, but I think it was about 1-2 miles from Bunnahabhain distillery from the single track road along the Sound of Islay. Obviously the famous Paps of Jura on the other side, from left to right Beinn an Oir, Beinn Shiantaidh and Beinn a’ Chaolais.
