Mainly picked this picture for the flying sparks and their reflection on the water. Taken back in 2007 when the old pier at Port Askaig was being demolished during the expansion and rebuilding of the pier and harbour facilities at Port Askaig.

A nice view from an Islay walking week walk a number of years ago. walking in the area around Ballygrant. The Paps of Jura towering over the landscape and the Sound of Islay (just visible towards the right). Just below us a loch, although I’m not sure which one. I think it might be Loch Allan, if you can confirm or correct me please post it in the comments.

Having moored their fishing boat in Bunnahabhain Bay at the Sound of Islay these two fishermen were using their dinghy to return to the beach at the distillery.
