A dreich November afternoon in the north of Islay. Driving out to Bunnahabhain it briefly brightened up and a faint rainbow appeared over the Sound of Islay.

The counterpart to the Bunnahabhain view from the veranda panorama from a visit in April, this is the same view on a mostly grey, dull and dreich November 2023 afternoon. The Paps of Jura and the rest of Jura have disappeared. Sgarbh Breac only just recognisable on the left. No chance of spotting Colonsay, let alone Mull.
