I think I took this picture from Creag Bhàn, the highest hill on Gigha. The view is across the Sound of Jura to the Paps of Jura with the Islay ferry MV Isle of Arran en route from Port Askaig to Kennacraig on the mainland. How tiny the ferry looks below the towering mountains.

A panoramic view of the summer solstice sunset 2023 as seen from next to the Bodach and Cailleach standing stones on the Isle of Gigha. On the horizon Islay (left) and Jura with the distinctive Paps of Jura (right). The sun is setting somewhere around the Sound of Islay area. On the right one of the several excellent linked footpaths on Gigha. Just left of centre is the small island of Craro with the Bull of Craro (although it’s too far away to make it out in this panorama). To the right of it Cuddyport. Not in the picture, but the Gigha community windfarm is just to the left.
