Meandering burn at Port an Eas, Isle of Islay

Image

Picture of a burn (stream) meandering across a beachA beautiful April day at Port an Eas on the Oa in the south of Islay. I don’t know its name, but the burn fed by the tall waterfall (not in picture, it’s behind us in the opposite direction of the picture) is meandering across the golden sandy beach before flowing into the sea.

Picture of the ruins of a castle, showing the best preserved wallA view of the best preserved wall of Dunyvaig Castle at the entrance to Lagavulin Bay on the south coast of Islay. I’m not sure what this part originally was, may be some kind of tower or the main part of the castle?
