Having just left Port Askaig for a crossing to Kennacraig on the mainland the Islay ferry MV Finlaggan is gathering speed to cruise down the Sound of Islay.
I am attempting to put together a record of our September 2018 trip to the Isle of Islay. I failed to take a photo of cars, trucks and tankers being loaded onto the MV Finlaggan. Do you know where I might find such a photo.
Incidentally, I follow your daily blog and delight in what appears in my e-mail each day.
Not sure I’ve got one like that, as I’m usually on the ferry when that happens. I think there might be one of a handful of cars waiting to drive on seen from the upper deck. If you look through all the Port Askaig pictures there might be one.

Speed and Finlaggan aren’t normally in the same sentence.
Although to my knowledge this is at least partly due to local residents who complained about the swell
