Not sure how old this is, but it certainly has fallen out of use a long time ago. This old cannon is one of two which can be found near the east tower at Bridgend.

Where is that located Armin? I was never aware there was an old cannon on Islay.

This one (and one I’m going to post tomorrow) are next to the East Tower close to Islay House in Bridgend. There are also two in/near Port Askaig, one at the old RNLI station and one at Dunlossit House.

Old cannon at Bridgend (2), Isle of IslayThe counterpart to the other old cannon at the East Tower near Islay House in Bridgend. I don’t know if it is older, but it does look worse than the other one.
