A view west from Creag Bhàn, the highest hill on Gigha at 101 metres. Islay (left) and Jura with the distinctive Paps of Jura (right) on the horizon. Many much higher hills don’t have as impressive views as this one, taken on a beautiful sunny June day.

A June evening near the southern end of Gigha at the beach of Gròb Bàgh. If you look carefully you’ll notice the seam of pure white quartz on the rocks sticking out into the water. The southern end of Islay with the Oa visible on the horizon.
