One of the most photogenic beaches on the Isle of Gigha, Bàgh na Dòirlinne on the northern side of the An Dòirlinn tombolo leading to Eilean Garbh. Jura with the dramatic Paps of Jura in the distance on the right. Taken on a stunning bright sunny afternoon in June 2023.

A panoramic view of the summer solstice sunset 2023 as seen from next to the Bodach and Cailleach standing stones on the Isle of Gigha. On the horizon Islay (left) and Jura with the distinctive Paps of Jura (right). The sun is setting somewhere around the Sound of Islay area. On the right one of the several excellent linked footpaths on Gigha. Just left of centre is the small island of Craro with the Bull of Craro (although it’s too far away to make it out in this panorama). To the right of it Cuddyport. Not in the picture, but the Gigha community windfarm is just to the left.
