Most of the pictures on this blog are by me, Armin Grewe, who runs this blog. Some of the pictures are by other photographers, mostly my family including my mother Jutta and my sister Imke.
Gannets can be seen in many places around Islay, flying and diving on the hunt for food. This one my sister captured at Saligo Bay while it was diving towards the sea to catch a fish.
Seeing cattle on a beach isn’t unusual on Islay. These we spotted on Traigh Baile Aonghais, somewhere near Gortantaoid (I think that is probably Gortantaoid River running across the beach in the foreground). I’m not 100% sure, but I think the picture is courtesy of my sister Imke.
