Taken on a sunny April afternoon on Islay, a view from above the breaking waves in Machir Bay. It’s high tide, the water is reaching up close to the dunes backing the beach stretching out south.
Machir Bay from the air, Isle of Islay

The Sun had just risen above the Kilchoman Crags on a beautiful October morning on Islay when I managed to capture this view of the ruin of Kilchoman Church from the air. All the roof trusses have fallen in, you can see some of them lying inside the church. In the background on the right the Kilchoman House Cottages. In the far distance towards the left you can just make out the Paps of Jura, a bit closer on the far left Loch Gorm.
