A view during a walking week excursion to Islay’s neighbour Jura: A rocky shore near Ardfin with Am Fraoch Eilean (and the ruin of Claig Castle) in the Sound of Islay. The hills in the south east of Islay in the background.
Taken during the lunch break of a Jura excursion during the second Islay walking week, a view of the Jura Hotel and the Jura Distillery in Craighouse as they looked back then.
Admittedly it’s only a small tree, but I found it interesting how it grows on the top of this rock stump. Not where I would really expect a tree to grow. Spotted during a walk on Jura along the Sound of Islay.
