An inviting bench (I’ve sat on it as well) to enjoy the view over Loch Fyne near Inveraray. The bench is next to the watchtower/folly above Inveraray Castle, near the summit of Dun na Cuaiche (248m). A great stop on the journey to Islay, from memory the walk up the hill doesn’t take very long and the views on a sunny day are very rewarding.
As much as I like a clear and bright sky, sometimes a cloudy sky can look beautiful as well. Especially when combined with small gaps for the Sun to break through and create nice effects. Seen from the ferry to Islay during a crossing in June.
Spotted from the Islay ferry, a boat (unfortunately I don’t know which one, if anyone recognises it please leave a comment) passing under the background of the Paps of Jura with the summits shrouded by clouds. The boat was travelling north into the Sound of Islay.
