Not sure from where exactly I took this picture, but I think it was about 1-2 miles from Bunnahabhain distillery from the single track road along the Sound of Islay. Obviously the famous Paps of Jura on the other side, from left to right Beinn an Oir, Beinn Shiantaidh and Beinn a’ Chaolais.

Holiday cottage on Gigha after a heavy rain shower

This is the cottage I stayed in during my stay on Gigha in June 2023. To be precise, my part was the white washed section on the front right. The darker part on the left and the white part at the back are other holiday cottages. It’s called The Steadings (located at North Druimachro), the one I stayed in is The Barn. Took this picture after a heavy rain shower just after I had arrived. The rest of the afternoon and most of my stay was dry and sunny.

A closer look at the huge boulder on the shore along the Kilberry Road. The famous Paps of Jura (and Corra Bheinn) in the distance across Loch Caolisport and the Sound of Jura. A great stop on a clear sunny day on the detour along the Kilberry Road during a drive to or from Islay.
