With some low evening Sun the waves in Saligo Bay on the west coast of Islay were throwing some nice shadows, creating interesting textures.

At this point the Sun was still hiding behind the cloud, but it became much more visible for a colourful sunset in Saligo Bay on the west coast of Islay later.

A calm April evening on Islay, here with a view across Loch Indaal from Port Charlotte. Any explanations for those (faint) light rays in the sky more than welcome, as the setting Sun would have been behind us somewhere, not behind the hills on the other side of the loch. I don’t understand how they can look like they radiate out from a source behind the hills?
