Unfortunately the only view you can get of this magnificent Celtic cross at the moment, looking up from the road to Kilchoman cottages. The area around Kilchoman church is closed for public access as of writing this due to dangers of the church ruin walls collapsing.
During a November 2025 walk out on Kilnaughton beach, looking across the bay to the Port Ellen maltings and the old Port Ellen distillery warehouses. If you look closely, hidden behind the trees you can just make out the new/rebuilt Port Ellen distillery.
Out on Kilnaughton beach for a lunchtime walk in late November 2025. The centre of Port Ellen with the ferry pier and small boats port nicely visible across the bay. If you look closely you can just spot the tops of the hills on Arran in the far distance.
