A dark November evening arrival in Port Ellen on a rainy day. The rain was lashing down, but I still wanted to try to take some pictures. I noticed the bright lamps on the side of the ferry illuminated the rain brightly, the relatively slow shutter speed made the rain look like long strings hanging in the air.
A view across the south western end of Loch Gorm on the Rhinns of Islay. In the distance the ruin of Kilchoman Church, sadly in a rather bad state now. Two cottages next to it, as far as I know the one on the right once was the school.
