A late November afternoon at Gruinart, watching from the bird hide in the last light of the gloaming. Two Whooper Swans from a group of six resting in the mild and colourful light.
I had just arrived at the car park at the RSPB Gruinart reserve for a visit to the bird hide when I heard the unmistakable sound of lots of Barnacle Geese approaching. Seconds later a good number of them flew right over on the way to the flats around Loch Gruinart.
Around mid day on a late November day out on Kilnaughton beach. Carraig Fhada lighthouse on the left at the end of the bay. The Sun just breaking through the clouds, providing some beautiful light and reflections on the water.
