Spotted by my sister Imke while we were walking though the dunes at Kilchoman on our way to the beach, lots of Cinnabar Moth Caterpillars.

Gulls over rolling waves in Saligo Bay, Isle of Islay

Out on the beach in Saligo Bay on a June late afternoon, some nice waves rolling in and breaking as they reach the beach. Quite a few Gulls flew up and out to sea, looking nice with their white feathers against the dark sky.

Must admit I don’t know what this Swallow photographed in June 2025 is bringing back and for what exactly. It seems to be some kind of stick, some grass seeds and some mud? Not sure if it was for nest building or to somehow feed the young ones?
