The Crinan canal is always a nice stop on a journey to Islay, especially if there’s enough time to go all the way to Crinan. Here’s a nice old wooden boat moored off Crinan on a July late afternoon. I’m not entirely sure, but I think those are Jura (on the left) and Scarba (on the right) in the distance, with the Gulf of Corryvreckan in between.

A journey to Islay in November 2019 (my last journey before the pandemic hit in early 2020), an evening stop in Tarbert before catching the late ferry to Islay from Kennacraig. Fish and chips at the Loch Fyne Fish Bar.
