A nice stop on a journey to or from Islay, Loch a’ Bharain just off the Crinan Canal in Argyll. I’m not sure if it has a name and if yes what it is, but there is a beautiful tree covered small island at the northern side of the loch. Great view in the mild April evening sunshine

A view from a RIB on the way to the Corryvreckan whirlpool: A beautiful old wooden boat moored below the Crinan Hotel at the western end of the Crinan Canal. I’m not entirely sure, but I believe it’s the same as this one I photographed many years earlier.

A view of the model steamer Jeanie Deans 1931 on Loch a’ Bharain from the other end, looking at her stern with paddle action nice visible on the port side of the ship. One of the various models the Mid Argyll Radio Sailing group shows on Loch a’ Bharain. Well worth a stop on a journey to/from Islay.
