A view south east from somewhere on Corra Bheinn on Jura. Lowlandman’s Bay just below, behind it the Sound of Jura with the Argyll mainland in the distance. On the horizon the mountains of the Isle of Arran. Taken during a detour up Corra Bheinn from Evans’ Walk.

I found it quite challenging to capture the Corryvreckan whirlpool in a picture as seen from a boat in the Gulf of Corryvreckan. There are currents and eddys everywhere and they change from one second to the next, sometimes before you can react and take a picture. There’s activity everywhere. This picture is one of the closest I managed to take, an eddy swirling right next to the RIB, with the Isle of Scarba in the background (and mainland Argyll in the distance on the right).
