At the top of Loch Indaal some of the thousands of Barnacle Geese wintering on Islay have come in for the evening roost.

An April sunset at Saligo Bay on the west coast of Islay. If you look closely you’ll notice two small flocks of Barnacle Geese returning for the evening roost, one of the last before they return to Greenland for the summer.
