On a trip from Craighouse to the Corryvreckan we took a short detour into Lowlandman’s Bay, this picture was taken when we were just leaving. In the distance the three Paps of Jura towering over the view with Corra Bheinn (on the right) completing the picture. The building near the shore on the other side of the bay is the Sound of Jura studio.

Taken not long after leaving Craighouse pier for a trip to the Corryvreckan, a view of Beinn Shiantaidh (one of the Paps of Jura) towering over the northern end of Craighouse. I was staying in the white lower cottage on the right hand side of the four cottages for a week in June 2019.

Admittedly not a view you’d get with the bare eye, I used a fairly strong telephoto lens for this picture: The Paps of Jura (Beinn an Oir, Beinn a’Chaolais, Beinn Shiantaid) seen across Loch Indaal from Bowmore pier on a June afternoon.
