A walk up to the old radar station between Kilchoman and Kilchiaran in late November 2025 was rewarded with some brilliant long distance views. Kilchoman church just peeking over the crags on the right. Then Loch Gorm and under dark clouds the north west around Ardnave. Across the water is Oronsay (Priory on the left)) with Colonsay hiding behind it. In the far distance the Isle of Mull with Ben More left of centre. Not sure what the mountains towards the right are.

A view from a ferry in the Sound of Islay, just after leaving Port Askaig on a November 2025 afternoon. In the distance Colonsay and Mull behind it, Ben More just visible on the left. On the right a bit of Jura with the lighthouse at Carragh an t-Sruith

A view north west from the old hide at RSPB Gruinart. No birds immediately visible in the picture because it’s a quite wide angle, but there was plenty to see with binoculars. In the far distance just left of centre you can just spot Ben More on the Isle of Mull, the only island Munro outside of Skye.
