A view of Bruichladdich on a November late afternoon, I think from somewhere in the West Carrabus area. Some heavy rain is falling on the Rhinns of Islay behind the village with the Bruichladdich distillery warehouses.

Lochindaal distillery is long long gone, joining a number of lost Islay distilleries. The warehouses are still in use though, now owned by Bruichladdich distillery. I’m not sure which whiskies they mature here, although the romantic in me hopes it’s mainly the Port Charlotte
