A view from the pier at old and new parts of Bunnahabhain distillery in the north of Islay. On the left the older warehouse with the famous Bunnahabhain lettering, visible from far away. Next to it used to be another warehouse with the word ‘distillery’ on the wall, which was demolished. It has been replaced by a very nice purpose built visitor centre with a balcony and stunning views north over the Sound of Islay.

An October 2021 Saturday afternoon in the north of Islay on the road just before arriving at Bunnahabhain distillery. Below the under construction new biomass plant, behind it the Sound of Islay stretching out north with the Isle of Mull in the far distance.
