Some time ago I posted the view north at Balnahard beach on Islay’s neighbour Colonsay. Here’s the counterpart looking south. Jura visible in the distance under the clouds.

A view from an Islay walking week excursion to Colonsay, looking over towards Jura from the track between Scalasaig and Turraman Loch. The square building below is the parish church, just below it you can see parts of the roof of the Colonsay Hotel. On the hill on the right the Lord Colonsay monument, behind the hill on the right you can even catch a glimpse of Islay.
After a visit to Oronsay Priory during the Islay walking week the walkers are on their way back to Colonsay across the Strand. This walk can only be completed when the tide is right and needs to be planned carefully.
