One of the locks on the Crinan Canal in Argyll, water flowing over the gates. Somewhere in the Dunardry area I think. A great stop on a journey to/from Islay, always something to see somewhere.

An evening walk along the Crinan Canal in June 2023. The view is (north-)west along the Crinan Canal, looking in the direction of Crinan. In front of us lock 11 (I think) at the Dunardry locks. The water in the distance on the right is the River Add, A great stopover on a journey to/from Islay.
Something a bit different, as this is obviously not on Islay. This is at the Crinan Canal, if you have the time a very nice stop on a journey to or from Islay. The view here is from a Forestry Commission maintained car park (if memory serves me right with a nice picnic table and benches) at Dunardry. Watch the sailing yachts pass by and relax.
