Spotted from the northern end of Gigha on a beautiful June evening, the MV Lord of the Isles on her way to Islay with the Paps of Jura as the backdrop (The LotI was the relief ferry while the MV Finlaggan was away for her annual overhaul in June 2023).
A panoramic view from Tayinloan on the Kintyre mainland, taking in the pier with the MV Loch Ranza and the island it serves stretching out over the horizon, the Isle of Gigha.
A view of the MV Loch Ranza leaving Gigha for the mainland. Seen from Port na Gallochoille on a June early evening. Notice the buoy and the cormorants/shag (not sure what they are) on the rocks, one drying its wings.
