A slightly unusual view in the Sound of Islay: When the usual Jura ferry was away in April 2023 for repairs/ maintenance the MV James took over to ferry vehicles and passengers across the Sound of Islay.
One of my favourite views of Islay in any weather, Gleann Choireadail at the southern end of the Sound of Islay. McArthur’s Head lighthouse just visible on the left. Seen from a ferry on the way to Port Askaig.
