I think I took this picture from Creag Bhàn, the highest hill on Gigha. The view is across the Sound of Jura to the Paps of Jura with the Islay ferry MV Isle of Arran en route from Port Askaig to Kennacraig on the mainland. How tiny the ferry looks below the towering mountains.

A beautiful sunny June evening on Islay’s neighbour Gigha. A walk on the Northern Loop Path among many other great views brought this view south along the Sound of Gigha on the eastern side of the island. Kintyre just visible on the left

A different view of the 2023 summer solstice on Gigha. Some cattle in the late evening light with two of the community owned/run wind turbines in the background. The Bodach and Cailleach standing stones are somewhere behind the cows.
