The Venture West tour to the Corryvreckan Whirlpool takes you to a secondary fascinating sight which I hadn’t known about until this trip. Between Lunga and Scarba at Bealach a’ Choin Ghlais the tide has not much space to run through, especially running past Eilean a’ Bhealaich. You can see the height difference between the high tide and the low tide, especially on the right of the picture. A fascinating sight, definitely worth the visit.

A view from a Venture West RIB leaving from Crinan on the way to the famous Corryvreckan whirlpool on a sunny April afternoon. On the left the northern end of Jura, on the right Scarba, the Gulf of Corryvreckan between them. The smaller islands in the foreground are Eilean na h-Eairne, Eilean na Cille and Garbh Rèisa.
