A view from a walk to the southern end of Kilchoman beach on the west coast of Islay on an April morning. Looking up to the crags with the old Kilchiaran chain link radar station, now replaced with modern telecoms masts.

Just a photogenic Highland Coo at Kilchiaran on the west coast of Islay. And some sheep in the background.
Kilchoman beach in Machir Bay on the west coast of Islay is probably one of the best places on Islay for some beach walking. If you’re so inclined you can also quite safely take your shoes/boots and socks off and walk barefoot. Just like these two beach walkers, enjoying a refreshing beach walk under the backdrop of the crags between Kilchoman and Kilchiaran.
