The crags and hills behind it have completely disappeared in the rain and mist, only Kilchoman Church and the cottage are visible on this rainy day on Islay in June 2012.

A view of the old church at Kilchoman, sadly falling more and more into disrepair. Since taking this picture in 2010 the remaining rafters have fallen down and sadly it’s only a question of time until some of the brick work will start to fall.

The Sun had just risen above the Kilchoman Crags on a beautiful October morning on Islay when I managed to capture this view of the ruin of Kilchoman Church from the air. All the roof trusses have fallen in, you can see some of them lying inside the church. In the background on the right the Kilchoman House Cottages. In the far distance towards the left you can just make out the Paps of Jura, a bit closer on the far left Loch Gorm.
