When I took this picture a few years ago it had been cloudy and rainy on Islay for several days, hence the title of a welcome cloud break. The view is from the High Road between Port Ellen and Bowmore, overlooking Laggan Bay with the Rhinns of Islay in the distance.
Taking you back to 2007 with this picture, my sister Imke sitting on a log on the Big Strand doing something with her camera. This is just below the airport, where we were waiting for our parents to arrive for a family holiday on Islay.
