I assume it’s now at Bowmore distillery (who commissioned it from the Islay Quilters), but back in summer 2000 when I took this picture this quilt depicting the history of whisky on Islay and Jura was hanging at Laphroaig distillery.

An October afternoon at the south east coast of Islay. We’re looking across Loch Laphroaig (Laphroaig distillery is behind us to the right) along the shore towards Port Ellen (not visible). The hills of the Oa in the distance on the horizon.
