One of the best views I’ve ever had from a holiday home, the morning view from the Temperance House in Port Charlotte on the Rhinns of Islay. The Port Charlotte Hotel on the right, towards the left the former Port Charlotte distillery buildings now housing the youth hostel and the Islay Natural History Trust. In front of it some more old distillery buildings as of writing this being converted into a home. In the distance you can also spot the Lochindaal lighthouse.

A nice calm April evening view from one of the small beaches in Port Charlotte, looking out over Loch Indaal. The Lochindaal lighthouse on the left, the Paps of Jura in the centre in the distance.

Spotted while exploring some of the smaller beaches at Loch Indaal between Port Charlotte and Bruichladdich: A White-fronted Goose calling loudly on a hillside in the bright April sunshine.
