A panoramic view of Loch Leòdamais in the centre of the Port Ellen on the south coast of Islay. Taken from opposite the pier (with the MV Isle of Arran berthed) back in 2006, before the pier as well as the Islay Hotel were rebuilt.
A view from the top deck of the MV Finlaggan, arriving in Port Ellen on Islay to a rainbow over the village. Later on that evening I saw a full rainbow over Port Ellen.
The remaining red phone box in Port Ellen, outside Torries at the junction of Frederick Crescent and Lennox Street. I believe there used to be another one at the other end of the village, near the junction to the road past the malting and out to the Oa, outside Tighcargaman, but that’s long gone.
