A few minutes before taking this picture I saw the Otter running across the beach in Saligo Bay, these footprints are what it left behind.

Otter on Rocks in Machir Bay, Isle of Islay

Some of the best 5 minutes I’ve ever had on Islay: I was jogging on the beach in Machir Bay one morning when I spotted something on the rocks towards the southern end. Coming closer it turned out it was an Otter enjoying its breakfast. While I only had a small bridge camera with me I was able to take a few pictures and film some video, as the Otter let me come very close. An amazing experience.
