Spotted next to the ferry ramp at Feolin Ferry on Jura, an Oystercatcher on the pebble shore. In the background on the other side of the Sound of Islay the small lighthouse at Carraig Mhòr.

As I was walking down Kilchoman beach towards the southern end the slim bright band at the horizon grew wider. I also spotted a large group of Oystercatchers at the water’s edge, although I’m not sure to what extent Oystercatchers can appreciate the beautiful sunsets on Islay.
