A beautiful June very early morning on Islay, experienced at Loch Indaal at the first light during dawn. The Loch Indaal lighthouse above the shore, a crescent Moon up in the sky, a very calm and peaceful mood.
Lochindaal distillery is long long gone, joining a number of lost Islay distilleries. The warehouses are still in use though, now owned by Bruichladdich distillery. I’m not sure which whiskies they mature here, although the romantic in me hopes it’s mainly the Port Charlotte
