A reminder of a long gone time, one of the now lost distilleries on Islay. These are some of the warehouses of the former Port Ellen distillery, now mainly used by Diageo for what’s left of Port Ellen single malt and some of their other Islay distilleries.

Arriving into Port Ellen, the view many visitors to Islay see when they arrive with the ferry from Kennacraig. I thought this image, which was also the first image on the old blog would be a fitting first image for the relaunch of this blog.
