A November afternoon on a changeable day on Islay, showers passing through with sunny intervals. After one of the showers this rainbow appeared behind Loch Gorm, seen from somewhere between Kilchoman and Saligo.

Sometimes you just have to be lucky and be in the right place at the right time. Combined with a bit of patience and persistence. I had stopped somewhere on the road between Kilchoman and Saligo to see if I could get a decent shot of some Barnacle Geese when in the constantly changing conditions of a November afternoon a rainbow appeared. At some point some Barnacle Geese were spooked and flew off, passing in front of the rainbow after a while.
