We had driven out to Sanaigmore, hoping for a nice sunset just before the summer solstice. Unfortunately the sunset turned out to be lacking due to some pesky clouds on the horizon. Arriving back at my car we got talking with a couple who were wild camping. While we were chatting my sister Imke noticed these nice clouds in the late gloaming and took this picture, a reminder to never give up hope for a nice picture.
Walking back from a climb up the track to Kilchiaran my sister Imke noticed this nice view and light at the southern end of Kilchoman beach and took the picture. Nice waves rolling in from the Atlantic as the sun briefly breaks through the dark clouds.
In mid June 2025 the Gaelic Conversation Group organised a Gaelic history walk (with translation) through Port Sgioba (Port Charlotte). Around 30 people joined the walk, here the group is passing the historic Port Charlotte Hotel.
